“I can’t thank my family and my friends and my coaches enough because I kind of had this dream after Christmas and they really dropped everything to fly across the world with me so that I could come and do this trick for you guys. Thank you so much for everybody and I can’t wait to see you next year.” —Megan Oldham, on the quest to land a women’s competition first triple cork in either ski or snowboard. And she did it, too, stomping a leftside triple cork 1440 in Women’s Ski Big Air. Oldham scored a perfect 50 with the trick, the first 50 in women’s Big Air history at X Games. In fact, no male skier has tallied a 50 since Bobby Brown in 2010. Megan’s world-first powered the 21-year-old to her second X Games gold.
