Athlete Profile: Pat Fava
Pat Fava grew up riding with his dad Vinnie “Papa” Fava, sisters Morgan and Lauren, and brothers Vinnie Jr. and Joey, and following X Games was part of their routine.
In the X Games Aspen 2024 Snowboard Street Style demo contest, Pat Fava started a new tradition: competing at X Games...and winning. “To get the invitation was pretty surreal,” Pat says. “Winning it was just icing on the cake. Dream come true.”
Snowboarding is a family affair for the Favas. “My dad, he’s a frickin’ boss,” Pat says of the family patriarch, who is a featured rider alongside Pat and Joey in their 2022 film, Aboom. “I remember being 3 years old, seeing him go snowboarding every weekend with my aunts, uncle and cousins, and always wanting to try it just because he was super into it....
Street Style Pro coming to Copper Mountain Dec 20-21

The first event of the newly announced partnership between X Games and U.S. Ski & Snowboard will be the X Games Street Style Pro at Copper Mountain, running Dec. 20-21. This event will complement the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix at the same venue. The X Games Street Style Pro will feature nighttime competitions and musical performances, enhancing the daytime halfpipe events with a vibrant party atmosphere.

The evening of Dec. 20 will showcase emerging talent from the U.S. Revolution Tour, U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s development series, who will compete for a spot in the pro final on Dec. 21. Competitions will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. each evening, followed by a concert. Saturday's pro finals will be streamed live on XGames.com.
Break Science and SunSquabi will perform at Copper Mountain from 7:30-8:30pm on Friday, December 20 and Saturday, December 21 respectively, enhancing the weekend of action sports competitions with a vibrant party atmosphere and marking the first time a Grand Prix has included live music since 2010.

With the new partnership in place between X Games and U.S. Ski & Snowboard, the winners from both the halfpipe and street style contests will earn automatic invites to X Games Aspen 2025.
