X Games Stars Headed to Las Vegas for Vert Jam at When We Were Young Festival!

Coming October 21 - 22, X Games will host a star-studded Vert Jam at the festival grounds of 

, the sold out pop-punk music festival in Las Vegas, NV. The X Games Vert Jam will feature daily skateboard Vert demos, where fans can watch the world’s best skaters ride between musical performances.

With skate and music culture being intertwined since the beginning, many When We Were Young performers have a long history with X Games – including headliners 

 who both recently performed at X Games events. Some skaters confirmed to attend include 10-year old superstar 

Athletes confirmed: Jimmy Wilkins, Bucky Lasek, Reese Nelson, Tate Carew, Paul-Luc Ronchetti, Ruby Lilley, Sandro Dias and Shea Donovan.

Demos on Saturday at 1:30pm and 5:00pm PST, and again on Sunday at 1:30pm PST. If you're at the festival, join us at the Vert ramp on the middle right on the map below. If you're online, follow along throughout the weekend on

On what he believes explains Australia’s success at X Games despite the country’s small population (it ranks down around #53, just behind Nepal and Madagascar): “Our population is low, but we do really well in action sports. Maybe it’s our bloody convict background that means we’re brought up a little tougher and harder. Action sports just seems to talk to us. Actions sports is just as big here as your normal ball sports, if not bigger, in my opinion.”

On what it’ll take to do well at X Games: “Consistency. Big tricks. Taking chances. Doing stuff nobody else is doing. You know, X Games stuff.”
